   The March Fanwoodian is now available on line. The Fanwoodian is published quarterly to help keep the residents of Fanwood up-to-date on news and happenings in Fanwood.

   The Fanwood Enviromental Commission has launched their new Web page at www.fanwoodec.org.

   Drafts of several TDR Documents have been posted to the Fanwood TDR section of this Web site. The documents include the Draft Market Analysis, the Draft Vision Plan for the South Avenue Receiving Area and the Draft Development Transfer Plan Element of the Borough of Fanwood Master Plan.

   The Scotch Plains - Fanwood Newcomers´ Club. announces its Web site at www.ScotchPlains.com/newcomers. The club is a non-profit social organization for SPF residents and their families.

   The Fanwood Recycling Association announces that several NEW items are now being accepted at the Recycling Center.
   The first is plastic bags of almost any type including shopping bags that you receive at the grocery store.
   Secondly, the Center will also accept SOLID PLASTIC items such as pails or toys (i.e. plastic "baby" slides). Please make sure the items are ALL plastic with no metal.

   Fanwood Images of America, a publication of Arcadia Press by the members of the Fanwood Historic Preservation Commission, can now be purchases at area bookstores. For more information email Historic@VisitFanwood.com. Make a great holiday gift!

   Inside Fanwood With Mayor Mahr Debuts On TV-35 - Inside Fanwood is new and innovative monthly program hosted by Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr beginning in September. The first show, will feature Fanwood Police Sergeant Thomas Jedic, and can be viewed on Fanwood´s local access channel 35.
   Each month Inside Fanwood will explore the topics that matter the most to you. The premier show will feature an in-depth discussion on emergency preparedness. If a disaster were to hit our area, either natural or man-made, would you and your family be ready? Tune in to learn the importance of creating a family disaster plan, supplies you should keep on hand and other critical information to survive any disaster. You can´t afford to miss this show.

   Dial 211 for Access to Many County Services Union County´s 24-hour, bilingual information and referral hotline is now available.
   By dialing 211 residents are connected to a world of human and social services. This line is available all day, every day of the year in English and Spanish, with translator services available for speakers of other languages and TTY available for the deaf.
   The initiative is a partnership between the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the United Way of Greater Union County.

   Honorable Flag Disposal is now available at the Fanwood Recycling Center. If you have an an American Flag that you wish to retire bring it to the Fanwood Recycling Center on North Avenue. The Recycling Association and The American Legion will make sure the flag is disposed of with honor.
   There is no charge for this service but we ask that when you bring your flag you also bring some recyclables, particularly old newspapers and aluminum cans, to help offset the cost of running this program.
