Plans for the 13th annual Fanny Wood Day are well underway, and once again there will be something for everyone. The children´s amusement area will again have a huge array of activities, with some new features for older children, fun contests for the whole family and a variety of vendors and food suppliers. The Full Count Band will again provide us with live entertainment and a DJ will be on hand to provide ample music and entertainment throughout the day.
 
   The Classic Car Show will be back again this year with over 75 cars on display and many of our familiar contests will be part of the Fannywood tradition.
 
   The Pie Baking Contest will be held again this year with Panettone´s sponsoring this crowd favorite. Back again this year is the Ice Cream Eating Contest that is sure to create "brain freeze" to all who enter.
 
   Individuals and nonprofit organizations wishing to be a vendor, to promote their organization or sell products can still register for a spot for the downtown Street Fair by submitting the vendor form.
 
   The 2008 Fanny Wood Day with start off with our 3rd annual Parade on Wheels. Children, 10 years of age and under are invited to decorate any non-motorized item on wheels, e.g. bicycles, wagons, scooters, carriages, etc. and join us for the kickoff parade that will begin at 11:45 a.m. Be creative, pick a theme and come join the fun.
 
   For those handy men, women, boys and girls why not construct an original birdhouse for our 2nd Birdhouse Building and Decorating Contest.
 
   Come join in all the fun and enjoy good food, meet up with old friends, hear some great entertainment.
