Plans for the 14th annual Fanny Wood Day are well underway, and once again there will be something for everyone. The children´s amusement area will again have a huge array of activities, with some new features for older children, fun contests for the whole family and a variety of vendors and food suppliers.
Leading off the day will be the Union County Color Guard and the Sheriff.s Drum and Fife Band. We invite all Fanwoodians to join our 2009 Mr. and Mrs. Fanwood to march down Martine Avenue to kick-off the days activities.
The Classic Car Show will be back again this year with over 75 cars on display and many of our familiar contests will be part of the Fannywood tradition.
In addition to our entertaining DJ who will be playing music throughout the day, a live concert will be featured during the afternoon that will be fun for the whole family.
We will once again have several contests for young and old alike to enjoy. Returning for another year will be our annual Ice Cream Eating Contest that is sure to create brain freeze to all who enter. This event is sponsored by Double Dipper and is a real treat for all that participate.
For those handy men and women, boys and girls why not construct an original birdhouse for our
2nd Birdhouse building and decorating contest.
New this year will be a Bubble Gum Blowing Contest and Hoola Hoop Contest, so please join us in front of the viewing stand to become a part of this addition to Fanny Wood Day.
Individuals and nonprofit organizations wishing to be a vendor, to promote their organization or sell products can still register for a spot for the downtown Street Fair by submitting the
attached vendor form or
Ad Journal Form.
